I Found Nemo by seafaringgypsy I Found Nemo by seafaringgypsy
My Dad is essentially a big kid. Yes, he handles his affairs like a responsible adult, but he ALWAYS makes room to be a kid.
He used to quote Oscar Wilde to me as a kid: "We do not stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing."
GO PLAY!
P.S. That's not lens flare in the bottom right hand corner. It's a bubble that was about to land on my lens.

Thank you kindly, good sir.

You're in Barcelona? I was in Cartehegna about a year ago. Gorgeous area. I really need to get back to Spain.

Mmm. Dude. This should be a print. I love the contrast between the apparent physical age of your dad and the whimsy of the bubble blowing. It's such an interesting shot. A great angle too. Fav!

Better, but not perfect.

I still think you should BLAST OFF this damned border.

I'm sorry, Johann. I think the border is going to stay for the time being. Nothing personal!

Can you tell me why ? What is the use of this border ?

I like the contrast. I'm still working with it and I may fulfill your wish and remove it entirely. Don't push the panic button just yet, okay.

You could always try different colors for the border, or make the sides a different width compared to the top and bottom. Play around a little bit. *grin*

*nuzzles* I had to mess around with borders and crap for the stuff I slap together but never get around to putting up. It can be interesting. I like the polaroid look myself, larger bottom border than top and the sides narrowest.

A beautiful photograph. You should be really proud of this one. Definitely a :+fav:

And you're right. We should play. Why behave like adults just because we're not kids anymore??

Sadly I haven't. But every once in a while, a childish urge comes over me and I go off the rails completely. Can't wait for snow and snowball fights in the park!

lol i'd never heard of curmudgeonly before.. but i know it means cranky or irritable...

that's so odd... usually i'm the freak who knows the big words...

although you are right.. if they'd just stop bitching all the time, then they'd have more life to live

I also love the word cantankerous. I'm going to be a cantankerous old man.

And you're right. We'd have more time to enjoy life if we spent less time thinking and bitching about it.
