Yes, I used sepia toning in the post production work, but the astute critic will note the female master chief, thus insuring this photograph was taken in the digital era. Not only that, but the camera specs should be visible in the final print.
In any event, the salty dogs in the photograph are the Command Master Chiefs from the air wing embarked on USS Enterprise during her last deployment. The idea to shoot an old school sepia-toned image of these Sailors in a uniform that is not technically allowed any longer came about when the commanding officer of the air wing was due to transfer.
The old man was touched to the point of tears.
